FernGully: The Last Rainforest

One of my favorite movies as a kid. I'm going to go ahead and make the obligatory "Robin Williams is the shit" comment. I remember having bad dreams about the pollution monster from Fern Gully.

I loved this film as a kid. I actually saw it again recently and some of the magic was lost though.

Still, I'll give it credit for what it was at the time. The villain? ****ING AWESOME. And Robin Williams is... well, he's Robin Williams, but it's so damn appropriate.

I liked the leveler.

And when that fat guy ate a whole piece of cake in one bite...yeah that was pretty awesome.

Haven't seen this shit in forever. I hadn't been able to remember the name but I knew what it was.

I remembered this movie but not much about it... I did some research and watched it on youtube. This was a year ago or so. It was awesome.

LOVED the first film, the one with the smoke guy who wanted to cut all the trees down.

He gave me nightmares when I was younger.

Classic, absolute classic.

'Are you sure?' 'Im positive!' 'Only fools are positive' 'Are you sure?' 'Im Positive!....I felt for it, I shouldve known!'

****ING BEST FILM EVER WHEN I WAS KID. So pretty good.

Eh it was alright. A bit hippyish and a bit cloying.

Certainly not one of my all-time great kid's films.

I was really embarassed about loving this film as a kid, for some reason.

I remember having 2 tapes being played over and over as a kid.

This, and Top Gun.

Surprised I dont remember more of Fern Gully though. Its still a classic.

Never seen it actually but I watched that review and it doesn't seem that bad :|

I think we can all agree it was no Willow, no Princess Bride, no Three Amigos, no Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It wasn't bad though.

Goddamn, I don't know how many times I watched The Three Amigos and The Princess Bride when I was little, but it probably cannot be calculated by feeble human computers yet. Also, I was into FernGully when I was little, but don't feel that it holds up as well when you get older.

I'd agree with Direwolf. As a young kid I didn't really register what Eejit said about "cloying", but that's certainly true. Of course, like many good children's films you end up secretly thinking the villain is awesome.

Holy shit, I remember watching this as a kid, but nothing else about it. Must check it out some time.

Loved it as a kid.

Hate it now. Stupid nastalgiavision.
