I think people are excited because it seems very well done. I played a bit of paper mario for the wii and the puzzles were generally very basic, in that you just walk along until something is in the way, then switch to 3D to get past it and back again and just keep going. I didn't really get into the game enough to get very far, so I could be wrong about it.

Also, you collect hats. Hats are ****ing awesome.

Looks interesting enough that I would definitely try it out as a free download, but doesn't seem fun enough that I would consider paying any money for it. From the looks of it, a few people in this thread agree with me.
