FF7:2--Dirge of Cerberus

I wasnt a huge fan of FF7, im an FF6 fan but i bet tons of you guys are, and they recently announced they are workingon a FF7 game sequel called Dirge of Cereberus. It takes place 1 year AFTER the new movie "Advent Children" and you play as Vincent--Not Cloud

There might be cloud in the game, no one knows yet, we might learn more when AC comes out, he might die or something
 
As IGN mentions, I heard about it in July. I'm still pumped for it though.

Looking strictly at the game's artwork, one may think Square Enix has taken some influence from Capcom's Devil May Cry; Dirge of Cerberus should appropriately be a vampire game, making this a reasonable choice.

ARGH! Square promised a straight PS2 version of FF7, not this shit.

Could be cool though ^_^
 
Yeah cool..hope they dont change the gamepllay to much tho...i really liked the FF7 materia system etc...
 
A while back there was an interview with on of the devs for it who said "The FF7 project still has a long way to go, there will probably be a remake of 7 but dont hold your breath, there will be a game following on from AC but will take a third person action role such as Devil May Cry, and of course there will be Before Crisis. Take note that there will be more to come from the series as we find it to be a great setting." Or something along those lines, it was a few months back so i'll try to dig it out.

This is great news now that we have a name to go with it, Vinny was the best character, crap low level weapons and limit breaks though :(
 
i would rather have a ff6:2, but this is good...

as long as caith saith dont even get a cameo i'll buy it fo' sure

He better not show up in advent children either.... that would be dumb... its been a while since I played FF7 but didnt he die?

Squaresoft is so out of it these days that they'll no doubt f-ck up the sequel. I'm not really interested, even though FF7 is one of my all-time favorites.

I thought the same thing at first, that they're milking the cow... but at least they're milking the right cow.

But I think that Square has received so much feedback regarding FFIIV that they decided to go back and give something special to the fans... so... omg my hotpockets are burning!

Yeah I guess you're right. Better milking FF7 than one of the less decent ones.

That would be nice (if they port it to PC or GC), but I remain sceptical. Pissing your pants at this stage is premature at any rate.

I wouldnt like to have an ff6:2 they did it right the rist time,i just wanted it ported ro PC/GC with better sound and graphics, but still 2d

Oh and by the way, there is another FF7 sequel in the works that takes place BEFORE ff7, and get this...its Cellphone only, its called before Crisis i think and it only runs on the... dang i forgot the name, ill edit this post soon when i remember
