FFS: finding gcc

Could someone just drop me a copy of gcc.dll? Every download site I find insists that I have to build it (which I can't do in the first place because I don't have the compiler you morons) or has it packaged under so much bloat that I can't find it. All I need is the lone dll file!

Ummm, that doesn't make any sense. What are you using the gcc.dll file for? If you had the gcc compiler distribution, you could create a gcc.dll file yourself. If you didn't have the gcc compiler distribution, the gcc.dll file would be worthless (since it by itself won't allow you to compile anything).

Are you trying to use gcc to compile something or are you trying to run some other executable that (for some weird reason) requires a gcc.dll file?

I was trying to run Visual MingW which needs gcc to do anything. I've now downloaded the Borland C++ command line compiler and I'm having no problems. Thanks anyway.

MingW? I think the Dev-Cpp (free) comes with a full mingW (gnu-based) package.
