- Your Order is Currently in Phase 2 -

Phase 1: (Order Received)
Your order has been received and is awaiting verification before processing. If you placed your order online, you should be receiving a call or an email from an Alienware representative shortly. All online orders must be verified before they can be processed as part of our security procedures.

Phase 2: (Order is currently processed)
Your order has been verified and is currently awaiting payment processing. While in this stage we are authenticating any credit card and/or payment information for security purposes. Please understand that this phase is necessary as it will protect you the customer from any fraudulent transactions. We observe very strict security guidelines and hope you can appreciate our efforts.

Phase 3: (Payment Received)
Your order has been processed and is currently awaiting the configuration verification phase.

Phase 4: (Configuration Verification Phase)
Your configuration is undergoing a configuration verification prior to component reservation. This means that we are checking your system configuration before we reserve all the necessary components that make up your system. Even though this process already took place when you initially placed the order, we make sure to recheck our real-time knowledgebase for any possible conflicts with drivers and/or components.

Phase 5: (Pre-Production Inventory Queue phase)
Your system is now on queue and awaiting inventory inspection and audit.

Phase 6: (Inventory Audit)
The inventory that will be used to custom build your PC has now been inspected. Please be aware that a back-order situation might or might not exist in this phase. If a back-order situation does exist, it should not impede your order’s progress. In the rare occurrence that a back-order causes a delay it would occur during phase 9 and you will be notified immediately via e-mail. The part in question will also be identified in the e-mail.

Phase 7: (Materials Inspection)
All accessories such as Manuals (if applicable), CDs, Cables that are included with your system have now been inspected.

Phase 8: (Pre Assembly)
Your system is now on queue and waiting to be assembled, integrated and inspected by quality assurance.

Phase 9: (Production: Assembly & Integration)
Your system is being hand-built by an Alienware® Assembly Technician. We take great pride in building systems as our motto reflects "build it as if it were your own". The assembly stage can take sometime as all the cabling in the machine is carefully done and the results are greater upgrade flexibility and thermal airflows. Every assembly technician has been qualified with Alienware Standards and has undergone a rigorous training program. We pride ourselves on not only giving you a high performance computer system, but a piece of art!

Phase 10: (Production: Phase #1)
Your system is undergoing the first stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. This stage includes the installation of the operating system, drivers and any applications that are specific to the system you ordered. Our Alienware® Integration Technician will also install any demos, benchmark utilities, and burn-in software neccessary to correctly monitor your system’s performance. These functions are performed by AlienFactory, a proprietary software designed by Alienware for our valued customers.

Phase 11: (Production: Phase #2)
Your system is undergoing the second stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. This phase is the most crucial stage. We perform a series of grueling tests that push the hardware components in your system to the very limit. This phase is especially important because it is here where the system either passes or fails. If it does fail, it will automatically go to one of our diagnostic technicians to identify any problems before we ship it to you. If the system doesn't pass our performance metrics, we will build it from scratch again. Perfection takes time!

Phase 12: (Production: Quality Control)
Your system is undergoing the final stage of the Alienware® 200-point quality control process. An Alienware® Quality Inspector is tasked with inspecting your machine for any obvious or latent defects. Our Inspectors are seasoned technicians/engineers and are well versed in the art of perfection.

Phase 13: (Production: Shipping)
Your system is being packaged carefully and being prepared for shipping.

Phase 14: (Order Shipped)
Congratulations, your order has been shipped. We only hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed building it for you

= 3 weeks

heh, do you get any proof that that rediculous examination took place?

When you are ordering products from a specialty vendor...don't expect things to be rushed. lol
You are having them build a customized PC and most likely they will pretest the hardware and install/configure software etc.
When you get it you plug it in and use it. Luxury is at a price and at their pace. lol

We told you not to buy from them. Shoulda got from newegg, oh well. Youll learn eventually I guess.

No problem there, just another raeson why getting prebuilts online suck. Most prebuilt comps take at LEAST one month, so expect to be waiting another 2 weeks before you receive it. And you probly wont get all the parts at once, either.

Hey man just cool it. While it may have taken 2 week so far for the first two phases, i guarantee that the next for or so will all happen in 1 day. but once its built and tested, it shouldnt be too long before they send it off. my parents just got a dell and they said it would take almost a month to arrive, but it took 3 weeks, it was even sent on ups next day! maybe you should reread your recipt, cause it probally has an estimated arrival date, and that usually is more than it says it will be, so just chill :afro:

summed up pretty ****ing well there might i add :)

hmm.. do ya think the swear filter is broken now? ;)

Diablo.. didnt you wrote antoher "how's my rig?" thread were you got all flamed up by other because of waste of money on a prebuilt system when you could've got an A64 with the same specs for less money..
in that thread i seem to remember that you said your father paid the computer and not you.. has it somehow been like your father took back hes money and you had to pay it yourself ?

well i just got an email from them, they said 12-15 working days from when Phase 3: (Payment Received) so im on stage 3 now, only 3 weeks left :dork: :naughty: :smoking: :flame: :sniper:

lol, see, all that cussing and pissing and moaning for nothing, jeesh.

spoiled baby

Well, I would imagine I would let off some steam if I spent over 4 grand on a comp that hasn't arrived in 2 weeks...

Either they are REALLY Careful, or REALLY lazy

I got my computer fast as I desired , and I didnt bitch like this because I have patience. GG dude , give the Anti-Alienware people more ****ing ammunition. I cant argue anything into them , Im not going to try ,thats why this section is damn near useless. GG , get some patience. (BTW- Alot of the later steps go real quick)

Oh and to everyone else- My Alienware is ****ing great and worht every penny. Have a good one :)

Oh no ****ing wonder , it was the payments fault not theirs. They cant do anything till they know youre actually going to pay. But I have to respect that youre buying it on your own and I understand you being impatient for soemthing like that. I dont think youll be disappointed one bit man. (I know its weird that my 2 posts have totally different tones)

PS- I cuss because he did , and it feels better , its filtered anyway.

PPS- Remember to check the newspaper ads after you get yours dude , and grin at those retail chumps who still are buying 2.2ghz processors while you (I assume) are burning a 3.2 :p

Falcon Northwest would have been better, but I'd go with a custom system from Monarch. I think you should go straight to www.resellerratings.com and post a complaint against Alienware. There customer service has gone down the toilet and they rape you on the price without so much as a reach around. When you get it you should return it and look elsewhere like the two places I just mentioned depending on your price range.

Note : this guy is friggin crazy. Falcon Northwest is way more expensive than Alienware , I shopped around. You have no real reason to file a complaint , your check took along time to clear ,thats all. Return it? Youve got to be friggin joking.

He spent like 3 grand. If he has that high of a price range and wants the best Falcon is the way to go. I also didn't read the entire post and see that they were waiting for payment. Had they already charged his account or CC and didn't ship for 2 weeks that would be reason to file a complaint. Thats what I thought he was talking about, my bad.
