At the end of loading Windows, File checking for Hard Drive "D" commenses. How do you turn this annoying feature off?

well, it shouldn't be there unless you enabled it.

I had that issue once when using a third party defragging app, but I fixed that by just pulling out of one of the checks.

So next time you get one, press any key and it should pull out of it. Hopefully that'll break the cycle.

Unfortunately, even if I do press a key, it overrides the process but still pops up in the next restart :(

Hmm.

Well, a dirty fix would be to go into start>run.

Now type "services.msc".

Find the Task Scheduler and double click it.

Now set it to Disabled.

It MAY work, but even if it does, it's just a dirty fix.
