2000 Volkswagen Golf GLS
222,000 km
5 spd
New headlights and tail lights

bah, too many new things added from the stock Golf to post..but i love it :D

Size down the pictures, ktnxbye.

That better be a manual transmission, or I will definitely fuck you up

EDIT: Good.

I've been thinking about getting a Golf myself. I prefer that model over this years by a mile too.

Just get rid of that spoiler and you're golden. ;)

lol sorry about the ridiculous image size, it should be fixed now.

Yes, of course it's manual haha, you can even see it, and the clutch.

I kind of like the spoiler, but even if it didn't have it, it'd still look awesome.

My family has that exact car, and I've been driving it a lot. It's a really good, fuel efficent car. It has a great acceleration compared to its size.

oh yea german cars are amazing on gas..especially golfs.

Since it's my first manual trans car, it's gonna take some time to get used to. But i think i can start driving it fine within 2-3 days of practice.

Very nice, milage (yes, we use miles here in the civilized world :P) is a little high but the car looks like its in great shape.

And you might want to blur that plate, there are a lot of weird people around there parts ;).

Anyway, congratulations.

The milage isn't so bad. that's about 133k miles....which on average, its 15k miles a year. My 1988 had 240k miles on it when I got it, then my Turbo model came with 170k. So really, they did REALLY good with mine :p

Those tail lights and the spoiler need to go ASAP.

the mkV is a nicer, better, and faster car in every way over the mkIV though. It even looks better in my opinion. The mkII is by far the coolest version of the golf though, even if I may be a little partial.

edit: I'd just go on www.vwvortex.com and check the mkIV classifieds for some OEM tail lights and save a lot of money.

I have to disagree with you. I think the headlights and the tail lights make the car look better. The stock 2000 GLS is kinda blah, so the new lights makes the car seem more modern ..more euro lol.

I don't enjoy the tail lights, either, but hell...to each their own really. *Except the wing, dear god...what purpose is it? Not like you're going to get full down force off of it,

i think the spoiler is aesthetically pleasing :D

oh well, there's a certain something that comes over a man when he gets his first car. It may look like shit to everyone else, but to the owner, it's a work of art :)

Don't listen to them, that's a nice car, especially for your first.

Congrats. I'm going along with the high mileage and lose the spoiler comments.
If this is you first car it probably won't be your last so don't worry about that and just have fun with it!

Exclamation!

Yea, german cars are great.

btw you changed your name?! D:

I don't know, when I got my first car, a 1990 Mercury Topaz, it was STILL a piece of shit :P

I don't know there was one thing I enjoyed most, and it was that I got my own car. It was 500 bucks, and a piece, but it lasted me 2 years, and taught me lot about cars in general. Maybe I only think that because my parents didn't get me my first vehicle, and I'm sore, but either way, lol.

lol, yea the fact that it's MY car makes it 100x better. Also I got a really good deal on it and it's a REALLY nice car compared to what some of my friends have for their first car lol.

The guy did some really nice things to it on the interior and he took good care of it. So i'm just greatful I stumbled across the ad and bought it first.

autotrader.ca FTW! <3

Nice car, but that spoiler does look out of place. It's easily solved by adding another to the roof, like this:

But personally, i'd just take it off
