Finding the source of a file(found a file in my private hardrive saying im GAY)

Bad words misspelled with purpose

In my school account on the computers,which only i and my teachers have access to, i found a bmp file named "its true" and inside they have painted the words "i am gay"

I have NO IDEA how this came into my privet hardrive, someone must have hacked it. Either a teacher is fuuking with me, but i cant find any teacher that doesnt like me...

If it was a student...it must be a pretty good computer nerd, and trust me, all gamers here doesnt know anything about computers. So i want to find out where this file comes from, what account, who created it.


The funny thing is that i dont even have enemys...im Swedish in an American school so my english isnt like the others so they take it easy on me, and i have my friends! So wtf did it?

Can someone help me wwith this? Thanks alot!

Problem the first. It's a school network, get over it. Change passwords and you'll be fine.

Slightly off topic but just last week there, some guy sent an email around the ENTIRE uni network with a picture of of his mate at a fancy dress party in girls clothes with "GAY?" painted on in MS Paint.

Needless to say, 30seconds later an apology was sent out

Either way - chances are your mate knows your password - chances are he thought it would be funny - more than likely wont be able to find out who made it because if they logged in as you then it will just say YOU made it.

Try asking your mate that goes around saying your gay, was probably him

lol, my friends do that to eachother all the time, you mnot have logged off all the way or something on the school computers and they got on and did that.

Things like that happen alot with networks at schools etc. The best bet is to talk to the server admin staff, theres some nerdy guy looking after it all. Get him to show you when your private account was last logged onto, and where, and who logged in before and after you, as some fools actually do that. Should help you find who did it. Mind its probably just a little joke that means nothing just to surprise you, don't take it offensively.

typically they just send the old "i'm gay" emails out at my school, but last year someone sent out a very explicit picture of a woman who was involved somehow with a fist in a very hardcore manner... now, this was sent out to EVERYONE, including faculty, staff, the superintendant, commandant, dean, all the students, etc. Suffice it to say there was a big stink about it, but I definitely admired whoever had the balls to do it.
