Well, Christmas has come and i got a finger print reader. I have to say its pretty awesome. You can log onto your computer or websites just by putting your finger on it. There's only one problem, i dont think that its compatible with firefox. does anyone else have one of these??

I saw one of those on a keyboard but didn't have a chance to try it out. Major blow it not working with Firefox. Is it accurate? How fast does it work?

na but i have seen them. i thought it might have been a good idea to use it as a password for emails n things, but what happens when u want to access it somewher else that you dont take your keyboard to... such as abroad?
*considering you have the microsoft fingerprint keyboard in this example*

This thing is extremely accurate and works instantly. I even tried to fake my fingerprint but nothing worked. I hope i dont scratch it however.

The fingerprint reader doesnt replace the passwords, it just makes them easier to access. For example, to set a login for a website, you have to put in your password to the supporting software along with your user name. so when you go to the website, you put your finger on the reader, and you're logged in.

Yeah they are pretty cool i saw one of those!

OOOOo yes of course, haha. I just assumed it gave a coded password in some kind of fingerprint-reader encrypted data. But I never gave it much thought...

Thinking about that, I would like a new keyboard. I would like one of those cool illuminated ones (match my case), or a microsoft/logitech multimedia one. But im fustrated that wireless keyboards are always bundled with mice. Well most, anyway.
