Fire in the hole!!!(getting boring)

yeh, u guys know what i mean, im pritty bored in tha "fire in the hole" voice.. it's okay but valve should change it so it sometimes would say something like "Granade" or something.. U know when i say "roger", it sometimes says "affirmative", do you guys know what i mean. hope you get my point in this, cause again my english sucks :upstare:

Your English is pretty good actually, only had to read through that once

and yes i can see your point, it does get annoying, especially in servers such as UKCSwhich are 64 man servers and about 20 people are going "FIRE IN THE HOLE" one after the over :upstare:

I never play games with large number of players in cs:s anyway, as soon as it starts getting more than around 16 players I toddle off to another server, there are so many advantages to small matches I needn't go into them here.I don't hear fire in the hole as much as you guys, I wouldn't object to a new alternative sound though.

more people is more fun. why? because people dont brag about their position on the board all the time. 'yeah ive killed 23 more than you, you must be a n00b' on a 64 server? wow, through a nade round a corners and that racks up 3 kills straight away...

I'm not a fan of large servers either. I prefer 1on1's or 2on1's. That's where it's at.

Uuh about the nade thing. You can record your own sounds and put them in game, but you won't be able to interchange them during the game unfortunately.

well do you like playing far cry? i like playing far cry on a 6on6 servers, its great you can shoot so many n00bs that way? I also like playing doom 1 which is great game, i play that on my own...

I just love it, i admit, it can get slightly tedious, but it is good for a laugh now and then, great custom maps, nice friendly community and is just brilliant if you can get your whole team to rush on a map such as Aztec or Italy where the defending team just craps theirselves

Uuuuh.... so anyway something about CSS and Sounds? Yeah well VALVe made the Affirmative/roger sounds Roger1 and Roger2 or something, so maybe if you had fireinthehole1 and fireinthehole2 it would interchange.

look, we can't fix your problem; go make your own sound and overwrite the original, or hope someone somewhere has already made one, and download it.

Omg you are so funny... :| First of all i dont know even hot to but skins in css so i can forget my own sound back right now.. I just wish that sometimes something like "grenade" would be nice.. But never mind this if you dont like this.. It was just an idea so just leave it.

As far as I know, "Fire in the hole!" is some US army standard shout to warn anyone nearby that an explosion or whatever is going to happen soon. It's more simple than "Hey guys, watch out, I just threw a grenade, duck as soon as possible, thank you".

Play without the sounds if it gets annoying

I was just wondering.. Will they add that alternative sound in game.. In fact i know the asnwer: no. But i just tought to let you guys know that it is annoying to hear that sound again and again...

but it's okay.. it's not really that important but this is forum so i just thought that this would wake up some conversation about this supject. nothing special really.. :stare:

Underhill, search for a sound pack called "Fusion CS: Source sound pack". If you lift the sounds from there and install them over your default ones you don't like, then you will get good sounds.

there are other (and better) sound packs out there, but I can't remember what they're called.

I had a combine sound pack installed before, it was a nice change to those default sounds...

Indeed get the fusion soundpack, many people are happy with it.

When you say "I dont got no problem" dont that actually mean that you do have a prob? ;o)

I would get a nervous breakdown if some/all of my sounds where finnish

I belive you can pick what sounds u want and wich you dont.

If you don't like the sounds:
1.) Reach outwards so your hands are straight
2.) Move your hands so that they are pointing at your sound system
3.) Make adjustments until your hands touch your sound system
4.) Turn off you sound system (whether it is a synthasizer or speaker it works with all)
