And why it owns.

Discuss.

I believe it has very memorable and easily distinguishable characters...

Oh btw... Here's something to read... I'd say it's a nice eulogy for the show.

i love firefly so much, i get so depressed and sad when i think about that it doesnt exist anymore

/wanders off to watch the season on dvd for the 20th time

It's a great movie, ends the show with a semi-cliffhanger though. :X

Also read the comic Serenity : Those Left Behind.

Ya'll can discuss who's your favorite characters... favorite quotes... favorite scenes in an episode... etc.

it owns because it was a sci-fi show that was actually GOOD.

I may buy the Season DVD soon, it seems really neat.

joss whedon>me

I actually agree with something you said!

And Firefly is the shit. And don't get me started on how much I love Jos Whedon. I would carry his children.

I found it lame and stupid. I just hate space cowboys in every way imaginable.

No idea why. The humour is great, the characters were perfect for the roles. It was just aaargh! Everyone I've showed it to has gotten hooked on it. I recently finished the entire season on DVD again too.
The film sucked :p.

The film wasn't as good as the series, no, but it didn't "suck". :p

Christ this series was good. I really wish there was more. I loved the DVD set so so so much it hurts.

who the hell are you?

Who the hell are you... :P

I love the Firefly series. Saw Serenity before the series though. Loved the movie and a friend told me to watch the series. I did and was hooked. Seen it multiple times since.
Movie wasn't as good as the series, and it was sad to see Wash and Shepard go :( But we got more from the Firefly universe. So its all good.

I wish I had never seen any of it

owner of a lonely heart much better than owner of a broken heart :(

wait, there was a movie?

wow I must be living in a cave. I only saw the first episode, thought it was meh, and then didnt watch anymore and it just dissapeared.

the episode jaynestown or whatever is my jam

This must be what it's like to go crazy.......

heh, funny episode.

Anyway, yeah, I also watched the movie before the series. I tried to watch the series, but kept falling asleep REAL early in the first episode...so I didn't get a chance to watch it till a month ago. Watched the whole thing, BRILLIANT series. It's a true shame that it's gone.

And yes, I agree, Owner of a Loanly heart, must better than a owner of a broken heart.

Good song btw.

I've only seen the movie Serenity...it had its moments but wasn't really my taste. I'm sure the TV show is good, for a tv show at least.

The best damned TV series other than Lost in the last 5 years.

:O

you people make me sad. Lost is the only show I still like nowadays.

Comparing ol' space cowboy jack and his six-shooting spacegun to the cerebral masterpiece that is Lost....

Just saw the movie ... what's the big deal? Fairly cheesy movie with a generic sci-fi plot and a lot of bad one liners. Not to say it wasn't somewhat entertaining, I didn't feel like turning it off, but it wasn't a particularly good movie.

I guess I just don't get the attraction. And isn't this from the same guy who made those shitty WB shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer?

There is no big deal! That's why it's a niche show that only appeals to a very sexy and awesome demographic, like myself.

Also watch the series..if you're interested in giving it another chance. The series gives you a much better idea of what the whole shindig is about.
