FF 3.6 RC
If you have FF 3.6 beta you can auto update.

-New render engine version. (Gecko 1.9.2)
-Changes to how third-party software integrates with Firefox to increase stability.
-Improved JavaScript performance, overall browser responsiveness and startup time.
-The ability to run scripts asynchronously to speed up page load times.
And others in the link above.

I think they are saving GUI changes for the next version.

I want to use Firefox as my main browser, but for some reason flash videos just aren't loading on it anymore, and I've once again reverted to IE8.

It still happens in the RC version. I'm sure it's probably just stupid flash doing it's thing, but does anyone know a solution if they've heard of this problem?

*Edit* Ahhhh and now it seems to work when I went to go double check after experiencing this problem for a week. I think it got scared of me using IE8 again.
*Edit2* And now it does it again. F u flash.

You tried uninstalling the flash plugin? (then reinstalling it, obviously)

If you install a new version of FF, it keeps all your old plugins if they are still compatible, so updating FF won't fix it.

Now you're sure it's flash that is the culprit and not java? Just checking. ;)

Where's the Aero features that were promised?

That sounds pretty cool. What kind of features?

Oh, here I found out how to do it. They are disabled by default.

Follow this guide to enabling/disabling the Windows 7 FireFox Aero features: http://windows7themes.net/firefox-3-6-windows-7-integration.html

I found I just had to restart my browser after enabling them, and they work.

note that the aero peek feature (in particular) doesn't do its thing if you have too many tabs open (just like in explorer when you have to many instances open). Instead it just displays a jump list (a list of tabs in this case)

By the way, Firefox 3.6 RC2 is available, so update your browser and your add-ons.

I didn't mean to imply that it was breaking news. I'm not sure about everyone else, but I keep auto-update disabled because I manually check about once a week (instead of 15 times a day, every time I open my browser by default).

Mine says 3.6 right now, but when I checked the update it said RC2, so I don't know what's up with that. D: Maybe I should download the installer.

if I have Vista should I pass??

Vista doesn't have Aero Peek, so I doubt you will be able to use the Aero features, but why pass on updating firefox, if that's what your asking.
