Every time I open a site with an embedded quicktime video firefox crashes. I think its a pretty common problem because my friend says hes got it too, plus all the computers in my schools computer lab do the exact same thing. I think it may have something to do with a quicktime update. Right before it crashes and asks me to send microsoft the error quicktime's update pops up and asks me if i want to update. Of course, I cant just update because it crashes when it asks, but I also went through the quicktime player's (outside of firefox) updater, and that also simply crashed quicktime.

Its pretty annoying since pretty much every demo reel and animated short I want to watch is a quicktime file.

I had that too. I mainly dodged the issue by manually updating Quicktime (download from site) and using IE.

I can't get quicktime installed into FF anymore. I don't know what it is but it's not working.

Just grit your teeth and use IE for any apps or movies.

Wow, I thought it was just my rubbish computer, but it looks like I am not alone!

I have the problem as well.

Woah, I didn't know the Beta was out!

Argh! There's a spellchecker! D:

Stop telling me I'm wrong! I know "Argh" is a word, people use it all the time!

Kinda awesome, though, I don't have to "ctrl+k" to check with Google that my word is right :), I never could be bothered installing the extension :p

This is really, really weird... it's kinda different, and there are some things I just don't like

Firefox 2 has a built in spell checker.

Im gunna try FF3's beta and see if i can use quicktime with that.

EDIT: Yay it works!

JUST EAT IT.

meh macromedia flash doesnt work in IE, and sometimes it wont let me copy/paste for some reason ..I've developed such an intense hatred of IE lately that I'll live with the occasional quicktime related crash in firefox ..incidentily if you reload the file immediately after you crash it should work normally

but seriously **** you IE, stupid idiotic browser cant tell when flash player has been installed ..there is absolutely no excuse for shoddy performance in IE after all these years, microsoft get your act together

Yeah, **** IE! Damnit! **** it!!

Oh, and my friend recommended using a Mac OS... you don't get those problems... :p

I slapped him.
