Firewire card

i bought a firewire card from Tigerdirect last month and i used it on my ipod. the file transfer speed is not as fast as i thought. i transferred a 1.4 GB file and it takes 6 min to transfer. the card said that the transfer speed was 400 mbps. is it faulty? is there a driver for windows xp that fixes the problem with firewire interface?

I'm not sure iPod harddrives spin that fast. =p
If you installed the driver that came with the card that should be all you need to do.

Aye, the card goes that fast, but the iPod Harddrive probably doesn't

like they said, the ipod hardware doesnt go fast enough.

but it can still give you a more consistant speed than usb(means faster transfer usually) and it will also charge your ipod faster.
