First Person Donkey Kong mod

When I first saw the HL2 tech demo last year, and saw the part when the barrels were falling down, being caught by obstacles, and finally landing into the pool, I instantly thought it would be cool if someone developed some type of Donkey Kong mod. It kind of sounds dumb at first, but if it is thought through enough, it could be really cool.

It could be really cool - but are you sure it would be Donkey Kong played from a first person perspective? I suppose it wouldn't seem as cool throwing barrels and the like if played from a different perspective.

Or does he mean like, the original donkey kong? Donkey Kong sits at the top of the level throwing barrels and stuff down at you, and you gotta dodge, jump, duck, etc to get by them to the top, where you claim your hot virtual woman.. Sounds like fun to me.

Yeah, that would be cool. You'd get to see in a first person presepective what a cease and desist order looks like.

It might be fun, but Nintendo would definately shut you down if you actually used the name Donkey Kong. They might even try to shut you down if you have a giant ape throwing barrels, but that would be less likely if the mod wasn't really popular.
