I like winter alot more then summer, summer can bite my frosty ass.

I love winter and snow :) beautiful white landscape; just know that from here, switzerland and austria though

bah, the only time's I've remembered having snow recently was the beginning of this year, and about February of last. It was alot by our standards anyway - maybe 4-5 inches? Hehe :p

:( No snow here yet. 276K here this morning though.

Winter is OK, except my house is always really cold(55-60) and I had to walk to school last year. One day is was -40 with the wind chill, my hair froze on the way to school(I just took a shower) even though I was wearin a wool hat. Oh and shovelling my drive way sucks.

On new years eve, me and a couple of friends took a sauna.
It was about -54C (~-60F) and in true Swedish honor, we decided to take a bath in the lake. We ran out, jumped down and came back up, everything froze to ice in mere seconds, it was fun in the sauna again. :)

Damn, that is insane. I fell in some water when it was about 10F once... but that is it lol.

What? After a sauna it's tradition to take a bath. If you don't have water you jump naked in the snow.

Yes, I'm serious.

Wow, crazy Swedes

Lol how did you survive? :|

When i was in Spain on holiday i went in a sauna (first time ever, i thought i was going to stop breathing!) and jumped in the big bath in the health section and almost defied gravity by jumping out the same way i jumped in. I was shaking like a shitting dog! :p

Ugh, your making the UK seem like a right shithole now you know moppe? In the other thread posting those beautiful pictures etc., and when I look out my window I see an overcast sky, probably a couple of chavs up to no good, and some distant rain clouds coming to piss on me. :( - But seriously though, where the hell do you live again? When I get rich (yeah right) I'll make sure wherever it is you live won't go unvisited ;)

North of Sweden, in the province called Lappland. On the northeast side of Torneträsk, search on google. :)

Once again, the norhern tradition amazes the rest of the world. :)

Lucky, I love winter but it probably won't snow here till December.

Haha, that reminded me of the Billys commercial.
I could picture a American between 2 swedes in the sauna just like that. :)

I never wear coats, spent all last winter standing outside waiting for my bus with only a hoodie to protect me.

I guess that is why I threw up for almost a week from the flu : S

I'll volunteer!

Wow, that sounds really practical! We can't really get to our summerplace that much during the winter since it's out on an island. But we do ski there once a year. Then we saw a hole in the ice and warm up the sauna! Hell yeah baby! Nothing beats a niiice waaarm sauna :) EVER!

You get really drunk when u drink in a sauna..its fun..100 degrees!! woho :D

It never snows around here, the only point of eternal snow in this country is a 1km up mountain a few hundred km away.

And we get 2 meters of snow. ;)

BTW where do you currently live moppe?

We had our first frost last night. It's time to prepare for the darkness.

moppe, will you come home this winter to see the snow? Down here in Skåne we don't get much snow... ;(, so I think you should enjoy it.

Ofcourse, I'm heading home as we speak. Sitting on the train with a nice cup of tea, it's raining outside. :)
