I just came off the sat-phone with my friends back in Sweden, it's snowing. They started a webcam from the mountain, and oh.

Foxtrot said:Winter is OK, except my house is always really cold(55-60) and I had to walk to school last year. One day is was -40 with the wind chill, my hair froze on the way to school(I just took a shower) even though I was wearin a wool hat. Oh and shovelling my drive way sucks.
Damn, that is insane. I fell in some water when it was about 10F once... but that is it lol.moppe said:On new years eve, me and a couple of friends took a sauna.
It was about -54C (~-60F) and in true Swedish honor, we decided to take a bath in the lake. We ran out, jumped down and came back up, everything froze to ice in mere seconds, it was fun in the sauna again.

Wow, crazy Swedesmoppe said:What? After a sauna it's tradition to take a bath. If you don't have water you jump naked in the snow.
Yes, I'm serious.

JiMmEh said:Ugh, your making the UK seem like a right shithole now you know moppe? In the other thread posting those beautiful pictures etc., and when I look out my window I see an overcast sky, probably a couple of chavs up to no good, and some distant rain clouds coming to piss on me. - But seriously though, where the hell do you live again? When I get rich (yeah right) I'll make sure wherever it is you live won't go unvisited
MaxiKana said:Crazy swedes? wtf?
I Finland, you do that. Then you drink a liter of kossu. (Better than vodka).
Varg|Hund said:Yeah, we hit eachother with twigs in the sauna too. I'm serious.
Damn, we're strange
I'll volunteer!moppe said:Haha, that reminded me of the Billys commercial.
I could picture a American between 2 swedes in the sauna just like that.
Sprafa said:It never snows around here, the only point of eternal snow in this country is a 1km up mountain a few hundred km away.
MaxiKana said:BTW where do you currently live moppe?

This is somewhat like mine.
Mine is floating in Torneträsk on the summer, on the winter we take it up and rolls it out on the ice. We drill a huge hole in the ice to bath in.
The_Monkey said:moppe, will you come home this winter to see the snow? Down here in Skåne we don't get much snow... ;(, so I think you should enjoy it.
