Fix the spawn-camping. Its ridiculous

Just played this game at a LAN party, and the amount of spawn-camping that goes on in this game is ridiculous. When a player can sit in a tank for 5 minutes and sit outside of the flag zone where the players spawn and shoot everyone there has to be some kind of punishment for it. Its just ridiculous to wait 15 seconds to spawn, only to be killed in 2 seconds. This is the worst case of spawn-camping ever.

i dont get spawn killed that often.. just get ready, when you spawn, dash to safety and dive... its all you can do really. sometimes you get lucky sometimes you dont thats why you can spawn on squad leaders.

I think spawn camping is very minimal in BF2. Really, if they're so busy trying to camp your base then they won't have time to notice you sneaking out and capping some flags!

I've played for ages and I've only been spawn camped once, but after 2 deaths I respawned as an anti tank and popped a rockit in 'dat ass.

yeah, i use it as a good opportunity to try and use stealth to get out, and get a flag- another part of the game that makes it what it is- im not saying you are, but dont stress out over it- you can actually have some fun with it, and when you do get a flag, it's all the better!

Pointless spawn camping is stupid, I can understand if they need to wait at a flag for 5 minutes, that's kind of how long it takes for a flag to be capped anyway.

I've only had spawn camping happen to me once in the entire 30 or so hrs of play....In bf1942 it was way worse I'll have to say that.

I don't encounter that much spawn camping except if maybe a tank is trying to take a point and I spawn at it, I really don't find it that much of a problem.

Happened rarely to me on the demo...if it did you'd spawn elsewhere by they flag and find a good place to hide and take them down. And i was always anti-tank so could aways get them vehicles easy.

Anyway i shall not be playing with you guys in the future it seems...i gave in and bought Tekken 5 Its really good sorry!

If theres a tank spawn camping, spawn as an anti-tank and take shots at it, you will get at least 1 off each time, and if other people do it too he will be gone quickly.

No the worst was definitely the SCUD in DC pre-nerf, even I memorized where to shoot at from round start, that was the worst spawn raping instrument. Then came the new and improved "death from above" with Vietnam's helis... I still get flashbacks aaaaaaaaahhh!

what kills me is when there is only one of the base left, and the nme is surrounding you, and the commander is bombing you, then it gets tiring. However, what’s that one level for the MEC have a flag to cap on an island in the middle of the level, its a small level. Anyway i remember the USMC (my team) had every flag capped but that one, so they all had to spawn on this little island...oh it was like shooting fish that are unconscious laid out in front of you for about 10 minutes, so sweet.

If they're spawn camping when they have all the flags, as soon as you can escape it is VERY easy to get a flag. If they are and don't have all the flags, they're retarded and the reason why their team is losing, plus you can go to another spawn, and come kill the tank that's camping your main.

One time I was accused of spawn camping a CAPTURABLE flag. It was retarded :/

If it is back in 30 seconds your team has bigger problems then the other team spawn camping them, hell they aren't even going to win anyways if you have that problem so what is the point?

Speaking of spawn camping, some guy did that to my team today in strike at kirkland, we (MEC) were stuck at our base trying to move out, he would just be in spawn area with tank and kill us all. So next round I had enough of his shit, got me a tank, went up to US's first flag, sat there and go easily 27 kills in 3-4 mins, and mr tank boy tried to take me out several times but he lost every time he tried. I feel sorry for the rest of their team, but they damn well deserve it, they could've told him to quit spawn camping, etc. But they didn't, I went 50/4 that game, all 4 kills from tank blowing up

Spawn camping was a huge problem in previous BF games... so far honestly I can say that I have thus far never been spawn camped in BF2.

then again people try to take the flags all the time, or suppress your uncaptureable, but it's never been a problem.

if we are getting hit hard somewhere, we all just spawn as anti tanks ("guys everyone spawn as anti-tanks on me") and viola, no spawn camping.
vehicles are pretty easy to take care of now, as are infantry...
I guess thus far I have been fortunate not to have had to deal with smacktards, campers or vehicle thieves... or I have, but just always find an alternative way to deal with them.
