So I'm getting a digital camera and I need a flash memory reader for better convenience, I was looking at the internal ones just because they are a cleaner as far as cables in my room go, but then when I dug into my computer to check if I had any available usb inputs on my mobo, sadly I found that they are all being used. So I'm thinking about getting an external one. What do you guys think, there are some sata-usb adapters but those seem kind of sketchy to me, I don't want to stick any old crap in my computer case so do you guys think that I should just go ahead and go with an external flash memory reader. Have you heard anything bad about the externals like are they significantly slower or anything. I know I'm being kind of anal about this being this stuff is all in the 15 dollar range but I just want to know what the masters think, haha.;)
Thanks.

Externals are the same thing as internals as far as I know. They all plug into USB, outside or inside. There are regular USB (really slow) and USB 2.0 speed ones though.

So I'll probably just go with an external. USB 2.0. What do you think about those adapters, like the IDE to usb ones, you think they're kind of cheep dollar tree crap? They kind of look like it to me, j/w though, I'm guessing that the external flash mem. reader is the better option vs. the adapters option?
Thanks for the help thus far.
