I'm looking into a 1 GB flash mp3 player. I've decided between the creative zen nano plus and the Sony nw-e003f. Both have their up's and down's. I call on you, my fellow hl2.netters, if you have any say on the matter through experience or any other research beyond my own on cnet.com. Is the Sony worth $40 more?
Thanks in advance!

Sony's problem is their software. The songs might be converted to sony's format instead of using WMA/MP3 and I think the music files get a lovely touch of DRM when transfered to the player. You'll have to look it up for specifics.

Without looking at the hardware themselves I'd almost choose the creative product right away between those two.

Creative just because I've had several.

Sony hasn't really been a big player in the mp3 player wars. I'd go with creative just because they've been doing well.

the sony one needs to be charged via usb... something you can't do while travelling unless you have a laptop

I'd go with the Zen too. And not just because I'm boycotting Sony... though that alone is reason enough :P

Thanks guys, I'm ordering my Creative now ^^
