So, I'm looking in to buying an FPD. What kind of numbers should I be looking at to make sure I'll get the least "ghosting" when playing games? For instance, I saw a specific monitor with a 16ms response time. Is that good or bad or average or what?

I'm so confused...

Edit: My card has DVI out - what's the differance between it and the VGA?

16ms is a good response time... however some FPD makers are now producing 12ms panels with 8ms panels coming in the next month or so. In my opinion It would be better to buy in 6 months time as by then 8ms panels will be freely available and the market is bieng increasingly over supplied with panels to panel makers. The market will have depressed a lot more by then so you will be able to buy a flat panet thats twice as good as current tech for a lot less money.

response time alone doesn't cut it. Read reviews. Not all 16ms monitors REALLY produce at 16ms.. I found that out the hard way, and now I am happy with my Samsung 172X

edit: dvi is WAY better cause its crisper and you dont have to adjust anything on your monitor. VGA mode you have to adjust some stuff like screen posisioning and other ish. I like to think of it like a comparison between IDE and SATA.
