Flight of the Conchords

Really surprised that there isn't a thread on this show. :O

The show follows 2 blokes that form the band 'Flight of the Conchords' where they are a huge success in their home country of New Zealand. They've moved to New York in hope of building up an American fan base which proves to be...troublesome.

Within the show songs are interwoven into the plot and are often pretty goddamn amusing.

The HBO special was genius but I don't like the show that much or the versions of the HBO songs they did. The Bowie In Space wasn't as good in the show either.

The show is often unfairly compared to the Tenacious D show as being a "rip off" simply because the ideas are similar.

That said, Conchords is so much ****ing funnier and is one of the few shows I can watch over and over and over.

I heard it might not be back for a third season though.

Well, the humour is quite "safe and friendly". Not a bad thing ipso facto I suppose but the show just never appealed to me.

I loved the episode where that obsessive women gives Jermaine a painting of Bret and whenever he tries to get rid of it she keeps coincidentally appearing.
