I have noticed that when the bomb goes off there can be a great deal of flying debris. Seeing a cinder-block fly across the map and narrowly miss you is pretty cool. Only problem is if it DOES hit you it doesn't hurt. Anyone else think that'd be cool if debris did the damage you'd expect it to? Seeing someone get smoked by a cinder block would be uber!! I also think that nades should create projectiles of objects around them that do damage. It would give whole new strat to the filing cabinets in Office.

yeah, I've seen a lot of people getting hit by barrels which went flying fast because of a nade.It should kill them and it would be a nice little physics trick, but I think people would get accidentally killed by a bouncing barrel(what is just standing on the ground),if they leave the bouncy physics in. :D

if you turn the phys pushscale up, and you shoot a barrel, it will do 10 damage everytime you get hit....

I would like the shockwave from the bomb to behave somewhat realistic - not going through walls and stuff... and by the way, the hand grenades should be much more powerful.

Yeah... well I disagree... If handgrenades were more powerful and killed a player with one hit like in real life, the game would be pointless.. everyone would use grenades and ud die with single hit.. no point IMO.

It should have a much greater kill radius too.

Pointless because you'll have to be careful?

AA (America's Army) has realistic nades and it works for that game but then that game is ultra-realistic. Counter-Strike doesn't need to be THAT realistic IMHO. If you want that level of realism go play AA. You'll find it's awesome but slow. CS:S is supposed to be a little arcadey (is that a word?) but it's much faster. Doesn't mean I wouldn't like the Source physics to work better (as in debris doing damage).

That happened to me once..it was a cool server playing de_cbble, im pretty sure there was an admin command or a mod or something to make objects do damage. I was a ct, I went to the bombiste thats not the ct spawn, went through double doors, then bam. The bomb went off, and a cinder block hit me right in the face and killed me. I saw it coming...but it was too late..

They have to be a prop_physics rather than the multiplayer to take damage. CS:S uses the multiplayer ones... which will go through you, always.
