you can buy a TMP with a stock, rifle laser and flashlight attachment and it's probably the same size.
The only bonus is the fact that it doesn't look like a gun at first. I would hardly consider it a rifle, since its a handgun base and is probably single shot fire mode, its just an over-sized pistol.

I think this can be modified into a more powerful gun with some real firepower, if gun-manufacturing companies are willing to do so.

Its desinged to be a compact concealable weapon for personal defence, ~32 rounds of 9x19mm Para with full auto capability should be more than enough for its intended role.

It could be a rifle, if you remove the stock, handle, carbon grip from an M16 or M4, they can be really compact weapons, the only problem is the magazine, that would need to be re-routed to fit in the trigger grip, and a 5.56 mag is much bigger than the trigger grip. I see potential for this weapon if they modify a rifle or shotgun to fit in the case.
