FO3 Modding Frustrations

I got off work @ 6pm tonight. Got home @ 7 & by 7:30 I had finished dinner & was sitting in front of my PC. Now for the past few days I had been going over a few ideas to pass the the time at work of "projects" I could make with GECK, as I have been pushing myself to learn more & more about how to use the FO3 Editor.

So from around 7:45 until 11:45, I had been working on this idea. Slowly making it take shape. Making changes, going in game to check the changes & doing it all over again. While my skills with GECK are still quite basic, I'm none-the-less having a blast. That is until around 10 minutes ago, when I wasn't thinking because my neck was sore from hunching over the keyboard, that I F.U.C.K.I.N.G set the wrong file as active & copied OVER the mod I had just spent the past solid 4 hours working on. Panicking, I exited out, checked the other file I had been working on & saw that it was gone.

4 hours down the friggen drain. It wasn't a matter clicking "Undo". The file was gone. Now it's back to square one.

*Pounds head against office wall.*

PROTIP: You don't have to close the GECK each time you want to playtest the mod.
