I love this station. I watch it almost as much as I watch the history channel.

Shows such as Unwrapped, The Top 5, The Secret Life of... are all awesome in my eyes. I love the food, love seeing the way food is made. And watching it all doesn't get me hungry anymore.

I must say I am pretty discriminatory to some of the shows and chefs though. However, there are only two I don't like, and those are...

Emeril Lagasse. This guy is a sellout. His show isn't a cooking show as much as it is a talkshow, where people have to listen to him banter as he makes poor meals and often botches things. The audience I hate just as equally. They're always ooohing and ahhhing, cheering wildly whenever he does ANYTHING.

"Ohh, and i'm gonna kick-it-up-a-notch by adding a scoop of vanilla icecream. BAM!"

"YEAH! WOOOOOOOOO! **** YEAH EMERIL YOU ROCK! WE LOVE YOU!"

And bobby flay. This guy is a complete jackass. I can't say i've even watched much of his shows... I just don't like him from all the behavior i've seen him exhibit. A jerk in my eyes.

All the other chefs shows are pretty good.

I know, we watch it all the time in bed.

lol. okay so that was crappy. sue me.

But just so you know... women LOVE a guy who can cook.

I was talking about this with some friends the other day, I don't even like cooking but I LOVE the Food Network. It's just so damn entertaining

I catch the Food Network every now and again. My favorite is Alton Brown. Alton Brown's Good Eats isn't just another cooking show, it's a cooking show as science, as performance art, as standup, as a one-man play. Alton Brown manages to make cooking fun and witty and interesting. All cooking shows should take cues from him.

Ohhh! Damn, how could I forget Good Eats... I love that show too. Alton brown is probably my favorite chef on the network. Damn, can't believe I forgot about him. lol

I lose way too much time to the Food Network. That and I always end up hungry.

Good Eats is a great show. Best cooking show ever.

edit: just read joule's excellent description of the show and I couldnt agree more.
