I do believe I crapped myself when I saw this

I sure hope they follow through with this :)

This is the best show to ever air on TV and I can't wait for its return.

That would be great if it came back, I really hope it does. One of the funniest, if not funniest cartoons I've seen

Yes i love family guy, but 2005? damn long wait...i hate fox though little biotches canceling the show...o well adultswims got it now :p

It definitely made my day as well.

This show is timeless. I've seen all the episodes at least 3-4 times... and I still love it.

2005 is well worth the wait if there's gonna be 35 new eps. On the commentary they said it costs around $1 million per episode (if you think about it, they have amazing music, lots of cameos, they actually get rights for almost all their stuff, and they have great voice acters to boot), and they take about 9 weeks to complete.

this is my favourite tv show followed even by the simpson. I bought the dvds for this show, man i love it. Its hilarious, but yeah, like stated above, that is a friggin long wait, too bad :(

MAY!
They "May" bring it back---

You hear that everyone? Tredoslop says they're airing it in May of 2005! It's absolutely guaranteed now! 100%! Nothing can possibly go wrong. :)

I hope they bring it back, but 2005 is a long time to wait. Family guy was buy far my favorite TV show, it still is. Why Fox took it off is a mystery to me.

Yeah, I love this show!

I have never seen such a racist show getting past media critics in my life! I LOVE IT!!!

best news i've hear all freaking year! i love the family guy

yay, family guy is my kind of comedy, espeically the way they try to cross the line just enough to be insulting, but not enough to be fully insulting, if you get what i mean:D

why did they ever take it off????
Lots of people have been asking this question, and I think the reason is because the episode "Wish upon a Weinstein" offended lots of jewish groups, and they pressured Fox into cancelling the series. A cookie goes to anyone who can find a source to back that up (too lazy to find one now..).

But this is great news, I knew Family Guy was just way too good to die so young.

I also believed that its ratings weren't that good compared to the rest of the lineup. It wasn't as well known as anyone would have liked when it was on the air, and Fox likely thought it would get better ratings with something less offensive.

Yeah, makes sense. Don't have proof though. Fox is controlled by right wing interests, and in the US, the powerful Jewish lobby grups are right wing as well.

Boy, the above paragraph could come from neo-nazi of sorts, so I'll try to explain further. I have nothing against Judaism; in fact I am fascinated by the culture, ancient story-telling traditions and numerology analysis of the Tora. I'd be proud to be a jew, but if I was, I would not support the lobbying of certain special interest jewish groups to e.g. bad-mouth some really good films just because they don't agree with certain aspects of how judaism is portrayed. (I recently watched "The Believer" an excellent film that has a far too low grade on IMDB) And I would not agree with the foriegn policy of Israël.

I realize that many of the member of these organisations just feel strongly about human rights and want to try their best to ensure that nothing like the rise of nazi Germany ever happens again, but seriously, IMO judaism in general needs to get more secular and be more about the people and traditions and less about religious dogma.

Anyway, I'll stop writing now. I'm a wee bit tipsy. I hope that didn't make me write something I'll regret.

I just saw The Believer too, it was on TV. A very interesting and thought provoking movie. I liked it a lot.
