for all you tech gurus out there

Why not? Thisngs like that are designed to fit into ctandard cases.

So you'll have to take off the side cover. No big deal, unless you like things to be smooth and pretty.

Why don't you just get a new case, one with good air flow (intake and exhaust fans).

Wrong forum btw.

uhh do you mean leaveing off the side panel... in my hose thats like pouring apple juice inside your dvd drive

yea i think it might but i would recommend a new case. i just got a new mobo and case for my dell parts. the only point of getting that kind of cooling would be to overclock your processor and you cant overclock with dell motherboards. i bought an asus p4pe and a new case with led's for $80 all together. if you dont plan on overclocking then dont bother wasting your money on this, it will do absolutely nothing for you.

ok, but is moveing all the inards to a new case an easy task, and whats a good case??

its not an easy task if you dont know what your doing, you should get a friend or someone who knows about that kind of stuff. you can basically get any case you want that has a power supply of about 300-350 watts or more.

enermax makes some pretty sexy cases, for real cheap too, most come with a 350watt psu.

I need recommendations for good cases... decent power supply...easy insertion or parts ect.

slave 4 me =P

every case is the same when it comes to putting in parts. a good power supply is 350 watts or more. brands dont matter too much. just get something with those specs with a price that you can afford, that what i did.

And thats why it takes you 10 minutes to start up your windows. :)

alb, get a Xaser III case you can afford it, it's the sexeh. I've got my rig inside it, its the most beautiful thing I've ever seen in my life. Keeps my comp at 39c at FULL LOAD. Incredibly great case.

im convinced my problem is not because the board is refurbed. someone explained how it may be trying to detect devices on startup which sounds right cause once im in windows it runs perfect. and youre ugly guinny

guin could I get some links for a place to buy the best xaserIII or whatever

you cant get a new case on a dell
it needs the power supply it comes with and you wont be able to mount the motherboard

You can't replace Dell Mobo's... you need a new case to do that, and if ur getting a new case and mobo, he doesn't have a dell nemore :)

dont waste your money if your not planning on overclocking and if you dont know anyone who can help you put a computer together then dont bother either cause theres no way your just gonna wing it

my p[arent bought a dell...and i'm stuch using it for now...

(though a p4 1.8 GHz 512MB RAM and a 9600pro isn't nething to scoff at...) ;)

i sadly own a dell. never again. i built 2 comps tho.... desolates takes 10mins to statup but you win some you lose some.

its default cooling is pathetic and makes me want to puke

That looks like a crappy system.. If you want some advice on good watercooling systems, I could help you out.

The hardest thing about fitting watercooling in your case is to find a good spot for the radiator. You might have to mod it a bit and drill some holes or even cut it open some how. Think it through, see if you can place everything in your case.

PS. If you want a good system you'll probably have to pay twice as much then what "Iceberg 2" cost and no.. Dell cases are probably not ideal for watercooling.

Koolance Exos, and i hear that corsair one are pretty good. If you want water cooling, it is like mandatory to spend over $200. Anything less is always junk, i know i wouldnt want water spurting out on my parts

water cooling is a waste of money unless youre going to overclock your 2.5 to like a 3.8... if you want better cooling, get more more fans and a heatsink/fan cooler for your processor
