Hey I want to know if you're in Brittian what services of royal mail you can use to send letters or packages to countries in the rest of europe, like holland or germany.
Mainly can you use: Royal Mail first class standard

You don't use first class to send to Europe, you use airmail. Or you use a courier, like FedEx.

city link is very good, jsut package your goods well. if your gear is first on last off van it could get damaged

The reason i asked is because i had bought something of ebay, and the seller said he send it with first class mail standard to holland. It still hasn't arrived after 2 weeks. The thing is I asked him this, and he ignored it, but today he did return my money simply and left positief feedback. Thats kind of wierd since he did not know for sure if i lied or not, and he did not ask. So I think he did not send it on purpose cause it kind sold pretty cheap cause the auction ended in the morning when there aren't that much people on ebay.
In any case thank you very much for your anwsers.

Using international standard, it took about 3 or 4 weeks for my parcel to get to Spain.

i used to do the post for a production company.

the standard is first class, which is the best way to get stuff around without paying a rediculous price.

you do also have special delivery which comes with a before 9 option or a before 1 option. these are VERY expensive.

and parrot, you do use 1st class for international deliveries, but it's first class airmail - just an additional charge.

so to answer your question, standard post offices can do international shipping, you don't have to use a courir.

Oh I see, that might change the situation them, But it is still kind of wierd he did not check with the post office before refunding. Well it does not matter, I'm honest, if it ever arrives I will pay him.
