are you going to stay up for HL2?

Myself, 3am...odd time to have to play...and I HAVE to take my sister to horse back riding at 8am, so I'll wake up at 5-6, finish preload, configure, maybe play a bit, or not...just so that it's configured for when I get home...and play and play until 3:45 when I HAVE to take her to piano lesson...

yah im down in california...11pm...go me! im gonna stay up all night leave for school 6am :-p

I'd wait, but honestly now, who can sleep? I'd also be crushed if I woke up to find the activation servers swamped.
 
I'll be waiting 'till 3:00am and play it 'till 7:30am. I waited all those years, and it all comes down to Tuesday early morning : I won't miss it. :love:

so true! dont take chances...i mean ive had nervous breakdowns waiting for tomorrow...amagine if i couldn't play id go on a killing spree!
 
Mine's unlocked at 8AM so I'll be fine :)
 
i only have to wait till midnight... but uh. i'm not going to play it until friday night, too much school first, (college).

i want to devote 2 days of none stop playing all at once for hl2, start and beat it in one sitting to get it all in best.

can't wait for friday, :D
 
I'll have to wait until about 4:15...I have school, then as part of our school stuff, I have to go swimming from 2:30 to 3:30, then take shower in locker rooms, dry off, put clothes on, take my friend to his mother's job, then its about a half-hour drive to my house...

I'm going to beg my teachers for no-homework on Tuesday...
 
3am... I'll be staying up all night, then at 2:50pm i have to leave for work. When i get back from work, i'll be tired as ****, but i'll probably keep on playing hl2 untill midnight. Oh god this is going to be so much fun. I can't wait. :)
 
well my father (which is staying at my house) is leaving to go to newyork and he gets up earlie like 4 o clock (EST) so ill jusst be an hour late :p
 
eh, 3 or 4 am here.. and now, I won't stay up. I'll wake up 6am, as usual, make sure it's unlocked, goto school till noon, then go to NASA for my internship 'till 5:30ish, and then goto the airport until ~9pm, and then home by 9:45. Then I'll play for awhile.

Shouldn't it be midnight for californians? I'm in Oregon, but midnight is just a little to late for me since I have to get up early for school and stuff.
 
Nah, I'm going to save ALL the hype until after school. :D
 
umm here's a stupid question but how do you guys know what time it will be unlocked? Has valve said what time it'll be unlocked or are you assuming it'll be unlocked 12:01 monday night?
 
5:30pm, I think this is a good timezone, wouldnt like to be up at 3am, but if i had to I would!

Various Valve employees have said it will be unlocked at midnight thier time (PST) :)
 
gonna go to bed early and wake up at like 5 in the morning to play it.

I'm east.
 
wait...id california pst? cause my count down timmer says 11pm...maybe it is midnight..then my counter is wrong...am i liable to sue now...(thinks mysteriously about taking gabe to court)

california is PST too, so how are you gunna be able to play at 11?

I usually dont sleep sunday nights anyway. Sleep all day sunday, get up... wait all night... goto school.
 
well my counter is wrong grrr...those bastards it says 1 day 5hours 10 minutes 22 seconds left...that means 11pm...grrrr

It will be 7pm for Sydney.

I'm gonna come home from school, sleep as much as I can, wait till parents go to sleep, then play until ~7:30 :D

That potential problem occurred to me the other day... It's not likely is it?
 
I live on the west coast. I'll probably stay up and play for a half hour or so, then hit the sack.
 
I live in the 12:00am region, but I'm buying retail so I will probably pick it up the next morning. I wish EB games would sell it to me monday night so I can play it when it unlocks at 12:00 though! :frown:

well, i got school on tuesday, and i have tests so I HAVE to go, but
i think im gonna wake up an hour early, unlock hl2, and play hl:s if its available. im gonna save hl2 till i get home from school, so i get the whole experience :D
 
5PM....now I gotta figure out how to out of work early (^^;
 
Get home from school on monday at 4-5, sleep till 12 (midnight) wake up, play til' I have to go to school again.
 
Probably 8PM here, I have football practice, and it doesn't look to be letting up, we are ranked num. 5 in the nation, Cincy Colerain, State is 3 weeks away :-/ well, rings are pretty :-p

Yes, it's midnight for us in California (PST timezone, which is also Valve's time zone).

edit - And... I'm late.

Anyways, I'll be staying up to play it. Probably not the whole night because I have class at 11 in the morning, but just a few hours (I hope).
