If you're trying to upgrade to Conroe's Core 2 Duo and looking into MBs in addition to Asus's P5B, DFI Infinity may be something to view and add into your wish lists.
There are some serious promising reviews (Try Out) by Angry Games at www.DFI-Street.com where he reached 334x9 at 3.01GHz in a single, casual, very easy and promising OC.
Here is the results http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=64749 Please read the entire post so to understand what he did and didn't do.
This is the Board in question http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=246514 NewEgg ran out of em, but I found one at ZZF. Little cheaper than Asus's P5B and is an actual SLI/Crossfire MB. Asus's P5B dual carding works as 8X and 4X when paired.
Also must use DDR2-800 to achieve that high OCing. This MB does not support DDR400.

Good Luck.

Wow! so much for help. No one wants to talk about it huh?

OK. You can go ahead and delete thread, I thought it would be helpful.

It is, but you pretty much summed up the whole thread in 1 post

This is good info. High OC's without any new cooling. Very worth it I think, but when it settles in I think there will be better boards out there.

OK the test still continues and Conroe on that DFI Infinity 975XG is performing slightly better than Asus P5B. Mind you that this board isn not member of the Lanparty family therefore wasn't designed for extreme OCing.
DFI is yet to come up with a board specially designed for Conroe's OC.

Battle still continues.

Looks like a rock solid mainboard. But I'm personally interested in OCing, so i'll pass this one. The lanparty version should be interesting though.

Yeah, I asked Angry_Games. AKA Happy_Games who is one of the DFI Tech; What will it be, as far as Conore (Core 2 Duo) MB goes? And will there ever be anything on the Horizon? And this what he said.

I don't have exact details, but from what I just asked Jacky, it will be the Lanparty 975X/E made by the illustrious Oskar Wu

This is Oskar Wu, The man behind the Lanprty UT NF3 250GB (My board, The best I ever bought) The man who made the OCers dream come true is Oskar Wu. http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.aspx?i=2198

So I'm really looking forward to this.

Last report of the Infinity was 350.1x10 @3.510GHz at almost 12:15HRs Prime stable.
Just Imagine what a Lanparty can do. Arrrrrrr System Overload. http://img312.imageshack.us/my.php?image=screen1tv1.jpg
