Well....This is a post to basically to say..and ask, What will you guys do on the hl2 release.

For me i plan a sick week off work And Pc all sorted and cleaned out with my new graphic card placed in and laser mouse Fully charged, with an extra mouse sitting next to it, awaiting the laser mouse charge up time lol.

I am getting so excited everyday more of this game. ok ok we still have to wait for 2months and 2-3weeks till april, But when ever i think of the game, watch the bink movies or even type about the game...I just feel gr8 and excited lol. ok thats me.

Just think about it..This is for all you people out there who are starting to loose abit of faith on this game.

Picture the day of release, and your copy either coming through the post, Postman knocking on the door, Or tent out next to the computer shop awaiting for the moment it is open to be first in line.

I bet for those who are buying it at the computer shop are just going to be looking at the cover the whole way bk and looking around at passer's by just incase they will grab it from you.

Getting home turning on the pc with bags of food and pints of drink around all set.
opening the dvd case and slowely puttin the cd very carefully into the cd/dvd drive...I bet this is going to be the first cd that you will all be very carefull with placing it in the drive.

Then reading the instructions to the full. lol.

While it loads, i will be looking foward to hopefully some in game screens while it loads.

If not readin the manual very carefully. It will just be gr8.

then when the game is fully loaded, sitting bk and watching EVERY Intro Advert screen coming up. and then the MAIN MENU...Spending ages on the options screen getting everything on high and set PERFECT! All the controls to the best i can...And then.....when all that is set......i can finally click the...........NEW GAME button and start the tutorial.

WOW....

I can't wait...

When Spitcodfry was telling us about when he visited valve, i loved the story, and i know i wasn't the only one, because every second after the story was fully done, there was 100 post replys every 5seconds! it was gr8! lol.

this game is going to be great and i don't care about people saying we are hyping this game up to bigger then what it is goin to be. because i have seen all the E3 movies and i never thought it would be even as great as that!

5years valve done this game for us! 5 years! they spend all the money they made on HL and put it to HL2!!! Valve are the Best! and no other game company would do that! So Valve are thinking about us ALL THE WAY!

Hl2 is going to be the BEST SEQUAL EVER.

I been on this forum since like october i think.. Ages..and i was so hyped in September. Then when everyone got mad...ME..I was happy in a way, because hl2 Will be even better then it is. Even if that is possable.

Really pissed off with the hacker and the CHEAK to show us some screens! I hated that Grrr.

But i so can't wait for the Hl2 day

yeah /me sorry, I like how you described your load wait! personaly I'm going to watch every ad, and intro as you are, Then before I actualy start the game, im going straight to the control settings and maxing out everything. Then its to the controls where I will set up my "WASD - Six Three edition" controls. Then its to the main menu, new game, hard, and a quick brace for impact.

So when i get the game i am going to spend all the time i can on the options and tutorial because i know i can relax because i have the game on my pc .

But i can't wait to press the Start New Game. and choose one of the 3 settings.

I am going to complete the game on All settings and try and complete it all different ways (you know each scene in a different way.

I loved the HL logo of the man with a valve as an eye! I always thought it was a real life pic of gordon hehe.

I can't wait till after all the hrs on tutorial finally starting the game...And then the game fading in to the Start of HL2!!!!

I still think to this very day that HL has the best intro any game can ever ever have!
it was PURE PURE GENIUS!

i mean you were like any normal guy going into work and going to do an experiment...And you were lucky to stay alive. I mean you have to run away from a Head Crab at the start of the game, because you don't have any weapons LOL. Genius valve!

i mean they didn't give the effect that you was the strongest man gun blazing killing 100's a second.

I can't think of what HL2 intro will be i keep getting excited and want to find out! it is killing me! But the way HL finished was great. and i am happy they left it like that .

How can HL2 start....Well the wait isn't that far away. I know Valve have got yet another genius Plan and going to make this my NEW Best Intro .

i relate with everything u say commando , i'am was planning on eating some bad chicken so i could stay home sick for a couple of days , then jump in the car run down to the shop and pretty much do what u explained.

minus i'am still saving for my components that will make the experience all the more greater

This thread reminds me of what I used to feel like when I first saw news of HL2....


But alas, I am now in a HL2 coma, just waiting for the next shread of news to wake me up. I have allready prepared by buying a brand new computer.

oh and valve isnt a joke. They are trying somthing new and improved.
Once steam is established then you won't look back. And well frankly. You won't be able to when Won disappears!



Oh and one more thing I want to share. MY little theory:

When the won servers are gone that leaves alot of bandwidth to go to steam.....
Anyone else think this extra bandwidth might be used to distribute HL2 or maybe even the SDK?

Therefore when the WON servers disapear I expect great joy!

i think not having downloaded the beta has made me more excited, so much suspence wanting to know what the game play is like. makes me wanna go play hl again not that i ever completed it didnt like the alian bit at the end would always turn it off. i hope there is abit like the bit in the train station, running down the dark tunnel with that big sod off monster chasing you. ahh gave me such a rush. absolutly amazing !

By the way, when you preordered HL2, did the web site ask you what "edition" you wanted? For example, did it ask you if you wanted the single player only game, the SP and multiplayer game, or the DVD edition? I only ask because I decided to preorder it awhile ago but the site did not specify which copy of HL I wanted. I didn't want to preorder it and get 4 CD-ROMS. I just want 1 DVD, the way it outta be!

I am more looking forward to Far Cry now then either HL2 or Doom3. Mainly because they gave us a Demo to play with and I am totally impressed with the Water'Lighting effects, the Draw Distance and the Tactics-Based AI on Hard difficulty.

I think the Crytek engine has some serious potential.

All i can say is that right now i am more impressed at far cry then HL2 because first of all theres a demo which shows us a glimpse of whats to come and second of all they actully release information. I mean come on Valve, give us a little information on whats happining, we are your fans, we deserve that at least.
