God, I know I'm just creating a thread where 3 people will discuss it, and 20 will flame it, but oh well...

Anybody purchased their own DDR pad, by chance? I've been wanting to do it, and was just curious what system/game/pad you bought. I was thinking of buying one from Red Octane, and just using it for the PC, so I can just download some songs....anyway, here is the pad I'm thinking of getting.

I bought a level six soft pad for $40...it's been two years and it's held up well. I honestly don't know much about the red octane products.

I can't find level six's site...maybe they went out of business.

I've never really had the desire to buy a foam pad. *it is foam, right?* It seems like it would be tough to go all out on it. Does it slip around/fold up/anything bad?

It's very hard foam. My pad came with semi-adhesive pads on it which help it from moving, but it'll still walk a little bit when I go all-out on a heavy song.

Dance dance revolution is ghey. There's your flame ;).

I used to play DDR EXtreme at the arcade ALL THE TIME, I could play any song X3 speed (or lower) on heavy, I even bought DDR Max 2 + a dance pad on PS2, I kind of just quit for no reason a little while ago.. It didn't even make me fit. I lost more weight growing then I did playing that game. I was damn good, though.

My pad was actually really slippery (not to walk on, but when you'd 'dance' it'd slide along the floor), so I ended up just stapling it to the floor (wood floor).
