US Senator "the internet is a series of tubes" dies in plane crash

A plane carrying nine people crashed amid southwest Alaska's remote mountains and lakes, killing five people on board, authorities said Tuesday. Former Sen. Ted Stevens and ex-NASA Administrator Sean O'Keefe were believed to be aboard, but it was unclear if they were among the dead

Stevens was one of two survivors in a 1978 plane crash at Anchorage International Airport that killed his wife, Ann, and several others.

final destination'd!

So if it isn't confirmed then why did you write the title like that?

final destination'd!

lol

Series of Tubes, I always thought that was Ross Perot... not sure why.

His greatest ambition in life was in the end only a pipe dream.

Clearly the government used a super secret weather machine to bring the plane down. We all know how many secrets old ex senators that think the internet is a series of tubes have. And they must be silenced!

Atleast that's what I've been reading on some sites.

If a corrupt, ex-senator's plane crashes in the forest, and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?

RIP to the other people though.

Jesus. Horrible.

Wouldn't wish this upon anybody. RIP dude.

O'Keefe and his teenage son survived the crash with broken bones and other injuries, former NASA spokesman Glenn Mahone said. The O'Keefes spent Monday night on the mountain with several volunteers who discovered the wreckage and tended to the injured until rescuers arrived Tuesday morning.

At least his son survived.

It's not like he murdered somebody. No RIP to him?

That's cold. Nobody deserves to die like that, in such a tragic fashion, that wasn't an evil individual.

It's a series of plane crashes.

Oh god damn it, Stern.

Yeah this one is actually not in poor taste, lock this shit DOWN!

None of this is funny you guys, what you post here travels through a series of tubes right up to Alaska where his family is.

Disgusting lack of taste amongst the people in here...

Ted Stevens was the tech-illiterate old man in that "tube" video whose quaintness I enjoyed making fun of. Not the guy I wanted to die in a plane crash with others.

True, I suppose I shouldn't speak ill of the dead. RIP Mr.Stevens.

PS: It also looks like some people survived the crash.

Says the guy with Jesus flipping you off as his avatar. But I agree, these series of tubes are disgusting, I can't begin to imagine all the semen running through them.

Oh sweet, is it opposite day already?

I'm a series of Squidwards.

Puns are fine. I mean, I don't have an objection to most of the stuff. But a "series of broken bones"? I mean come on... have some tact. The guy died in a plane crash, yeah of course he's shattered. It just seems exceptionally morbid to me. Some might find it funny I guess. I just have a hard time with it lately.

^ I found it ****ing hilarious.

Shit happens, don't let it get you down. If it was you or me in that plane 99.999999% of the people out there wouldn't give a shit either. And why should they?

I see you reduced the number of nines in that percentage. Before, you were saying that absolutely nobody would have given a shit about Raziaar's death (0.0007 people to be exact). Now you're saying 6697 people would. That's pretty respectable.

Yeah, I got my calculator out. Apperently I still didn't do a very good job.

Add 3 more nines and you'd be saying something actually insulting.

I wasn't actually trying to be pedantic, I was trying to be nerdy and did it for my own math-nerd-satisfaction.

Whats all the seriousness in this thread? This is how we deal with non-.netter's deaths. We pun because it hurts so bad. So get your tubes out of a knot.

Why's everyone so series? All these lives, flushed down the tubes.

I think it is precisely the reason of experiencing and dealing with those situations that I'm stripped of my ability to really see the humor in any of it.

I'll yield to the fact that others aren't affected by it in that way.

At least you've gone past reaching for those grapes, Mr. Fox.

This.

When stuff like this happens(small private civilian aircraft crashes), do the authorities bother to investigate what caused the crash?

They're always required to do investigations for things like this, especially when deaths are involved.
