Hi,

I tried to register to join these forums about a week ago, and the activation email I received was quite messed up (random characters all over the place) and none of the 3 activation links worked. I sent an email to "munro" about it but received no reply.

Suddenly today I received another activation email, and I read it more carefully this time and noticed some common error patterns in the email and was able to decypher the activation link and get my account registered!

I dont know if this is a problem effecting all the people who are trying to sign up, but if it is then none of them are going to be able to contact you on these forums, and munro doesnt seem to read his emails! :(

Heres is a copy of the email I received:

As you can see, there are "=" signs being added after newlines, sometimes "=20". The text "3D" also seems to be spread in random places throughout the email, including in the activation links, which is why the link was failing when I clicked it. Perhaps this is just my email clients fault - though I dont get this on any other emails - so I thought I would bring it to your attention. I use SquirrelMail 1.4.3a.

Mercior

Sorry I've got quite a bit of an email backlog at the moment. The emails being sent are working properly but I don't think your email client is displaying the links correctly.
