Yeah, a thread about threads...

I keep reading all these complaints about forum decline and crappy topics, so I was wondering what do people want to see?

I personally like those threads where everyone contributes some skill/info around a subject, those usually work quite well.

What are you looking for?

I like hearing about what other people do etc..

Contribution, good speculation, light-hearted enjoyment.
Things that everyone has a little knowledge of, and together, make a large pool.

And threads asking for opinions on interesting & relevant, but not overly important things (people conflict less, but add more).

Threads I DON'T like, are the ''mother eats baby'' crap that rakurai tenjin and others seem to enjoy posting..

That or when everyone decides they don't like a thread, and decide to flame constantly and get an otherwise perfectly good thread closed...

What in the entire history of the world ever? And present day? What about things which happen everyday, e.g. talking about the news. There will always be discussion a little of it new, most may have been gone over before. We'll always have some nice threads.

I dislike ones which are sickening or about people moaning or about to die because they just want attention. I do like funny stories (within reason), sciencey stuff which brings out all the hl2.net geeks, constructive polls and anything which is quirky and new. Which is what we honestly don't get much of anymore!
