Forum Width

I just wanted to put this as a poll to you guys.

I've heard mixed opinions on the new 100% width forums and I'm in two minds myself. Just vote either "Without side navigation", which is this style, or "With side navigation", which is what we had before. (Though will eventually contain proper navigation items for the rest of the site).

There is no inbetween option on this one, please choose which one you prefer. Also, just to clarify, the grey style will be making a return, so please don't base your decision on whether or not you like the tan style.

Yeah the wideness is good. Do you mean that the rest of the site when its eventually updated will have the side bars with navigation menu's in?

I like it more without the sidebars, fits nicely onto my screen.

However I think there needs to be some form of navigation to the main site, maybe (if you can) make "Home" on the vertical navigation go to the main site, and make a new link next to it called "Forum Home"

EDIT: I know that its a different forum type but Neowin Forums have at the top links to the latest news, which if you could somehow fit it in here without destroying the sites design then I think that will be useful to see the headlines of the latest news on any forum page.

Without bars, easily. It sizes far better to the browser window. It'll also make browsing on my school's 15 inch 800x600 screens more tolerable.

Without the sidebars, posts take up less space.. but that is still negated by the user info on top (instead of left)

It really, really sucks if your resolution is 1400 or higher. You have to move your eyes a mile to read who started the thread, but it's so far away you get mixed up about which line you were reading, so you have to hold a ruler up to the monitor... well... ok... not quite, but you get the idea.

I think the forum should be more user customisable, to be able to change skin, change the forum width etc... Is this possible with Vb?
