Four player 360 games

Trying to decide whether or not to buy another 2 controllers to give me 4, but I'm not sure it's worth it.

What decent 4-player games are out for the 360?
 
Castle Crashers on XBLA is a very good 4 player, split-screen game. Can't really think of too many others off the top of my head. Most are 1-2 split screen and have online play. Halo 3 also does split screen multiplayer well, but I'm sure you're already aware of that.
 
I've found a severe lack of split-screen games this generation. I hope that doesn't become the norm as the best fun to be had is with three other mates in front of a TV.
 
Quite so. 2 games that support 4 player splitscreen is not exactly ideal.

A friend has two controllers that he's going to sell on on ebay if I don't want them. I found out Gears of War 2 won't have 4 player splitscreen so I don't think I'll go for it, although I just ordered a nice big TV that will go a bit to waste if it doesn't get used much for 4 player games.

Anyone got xbox live and rock band, by the way? Or Halo or Gears? I don't have much in the way of games for it. Recommendations outside of 4 player games wouldn't go amiss (preferably older releases, for price reasons).
 
What about Virtua Tennis? I never played the 360 one, how is it? The original used to be great for multiplayer back in the day...
 
Yes I've also noticed the complete lack of split screen in games in this generation.. I bought DiRT and was really pissed off when I found out it's not split screen. IT'S A ****ING RACING GAME FOR **** SAKES.

As for 4 player games, I can't think of any, tbh. It's all online bullshit now..
 
Recommendations for the 360 at the moment include:

Mass Effect
Soul Calibur 4
Grand Theft Auto 4
Braid (XBLA)

These four games are amazing. :E
 
This is just about games in general now, since there are **** all splitscreen games.

I have GTA4 sitting here but I haven't had the time to put aside to play it.

Is Mass Effect similar to KOTOR? I liked the KOTOR games.
 
It's somewhat familiar, I didn't enjoy it as much.

Go download Aegis Wing. It's free and a nice 4 person arcade game.

Oh. Those were just my recommendations for games on 360 as that is where I got the impression the thread was heading.

Haha Aegis Wing. If you get 4 people together and have the patience to play an arcade shooter for a couple of HOURS its great fun to play!
 
I can't find anywhere on xbox live to download Aegis Wing. Help.
 
GRAW was 4 way split screen, but it pretty much sucks looking back.

I discovered this after investigating with Emporius on steam chat. I'm from the UK. This is not pleasant.

Tempted to get the controllers anyway, since they're brand new and I'm getting them for cheaper than a used controller from a shop. Even if I just end up playing Halo so much I want to end my miserable life. Resale value is still decent if I barely use them.
