The "fair and balanced" media outlet we all love to hate is at it again. Check out this little gem:

Absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad someone caught it.

What exactly is a "Focus group"? Confusion +1 for me.
Where are you getting these images from, anyway?

Focus groups is just fancy talk for throwing some randoms in a room and asking them to discuss a certain subject.

Focus groups are cool. You get paid 50 quid to sit and discuss some shit for a couple of hours in a fancy London hospitality suite, with free food and drink.
I actually got paid to talk about video games, eat pizza and drink Budweiser one time. That was awesome.

You get paid for whatever you do these days in our nanny states, and obviously everyone gets paid to do what your told to do and what your told to say. Money rules the people now, there is no more democratic 'republic'. Money is supposed to be the servant not the other way around.

Every time I've participated in market research, I said whatever the hell I wanted...

Yes but it depends what kindof research, I doubt the market research you contributed to was on TV and influence the politcal opinions of millions to shape a countries future. Fox and CNN are bent five ways backwards from Sunday.

Evidently, but you appeared to be replying to me.

Focus groups are a bunch of political hacks who sign up to be questioned about a certain topic.

I've participated in about three dozen focus groups over the past 4 years in both politics and automotive design.

And i bet if you searched hard enough, you'd find video of myself pop up on videos made by the same organization at different times.

It's all part of the business.

I'm not exactly sure why someone who's participated on more than one focus group invalidates the whole focus group. Are you saying that this guy lied, and was paid by Fox to say certain things in one group and then different things in another (i.e., once he says he's a democrat and the other time he says he's a republican). People who participate in focus groups tend to do so more often, as evidenced by some of the posts below.

What I still find interesting is how in some states, registered Democrats and Republicans are allowed to vote in the primary of a party which is not their own. I can understand an independent having the right to pick and choose, but the current policy in the states which allow cross-party voting IMO is nothing but a huge loophole that can allow republicans to screw up the democrat primary process and vice versa.

Your thoughts?

Under normal circumstances, a focus group is fine, but the fact of the matter is that these were supposed to be randomly selected focus groups. Luntz is also known for manipulating poll results.

Its quite well known fact, at least this side of the Atlantic that Americans "news" broadcasters are more slanted then a dirty British tabloid, and have been for a good while.

Any of you guys remember when news used to be about news and not political lines?.

you all learn this now?

Oh yea, "chuck" looks like he has shit around his lips. Irony?
