Counterterrorism expert Juval Aviv spoke with FOX Fan Central about what Americans can do to protect themselves in case of a terror attack.

Do you believe another terrorist attack is likely on American soil?

I predict, based primarily on information that is floating in Europe and the Middle East, that an event is imminent and around the corner here in the United States. It could happen as soon as tomorrow, or it could happen in the next few months. Ninety days at the most.

What advice do you have for individuals that have the misfortune of finding themselves in the middle of a terror attack?

Since mass transportation is the next attack, when you travel to work have with you, a bottle of water, a small towel and a flashlight. What happened in London is exactly a point to look at. Those people who were close to the bombs died, then others were injured or died from inhaling the toxic fumes or getting trampled. The reason you take a bottle of water and a towel is that if you wet the towel and put it over your face, you can protect yourself against the fumes and get yourself out of there.

I will eat my hat if it's that predictable.

If such an attack is imminent, they would never release such information to the press. Could it happen? Yes. Is it likely? Hell no. Is it just another case of creating fear? Yup.

It's very possible there is a terrorist plot planned for the near future. of course, just because nothing happens doesn't mean they were wrong. There are plots foiled all the time that the public never hears about. The best way to show that counter-terrorism is working is a lack of attacks. Of course, the general public then forgets there is a threat and wonders why the CT measures are in place.

Which is why it is ridiculous to say such things, so the question is why say it in the first place and I think Pulse pretty much nailed that.

But if this 'expert' believes one is imminent from 'floating sources' shouldn't he be keeping his mouth shut and investigating these 'sources' instead of acting like it's a forgone conclusion that they'll let something slip through their fingers. It's very bizarre, unless you somehow know it's going to happen.

It certainly should make anyones head turn and think twice about what is going on. Coincidence or not, people atleast have to start coming to terms with the possibility that this 'war on terror' and all this fear propaganda is almost entirely scripted. A myth, created like religions to control the populace in order to justify over zelous actions to secure the power of the few.
