How do I figure out what FPS I am getting while playing HL2?

Type in the console:

"cl_showfps 2"

 

[Danimal]

Either:

cl_showfps 2

OR

net_graph 1

While we are on the topic, whats the need for the 3 i think...different types of net graph, the third one seems to do it all, i don't see the need. Oh and rumour or fact, cl_showfps 2 uses more resources then '1'?
