Anyone know where I can get FREE guitar sheet music? Preferably rock-typed-genre, or maybe classical.

Thanks.

Have you tried tabs? I find them easier than sheet music, although sheet music usually comes with tabs. But tabs you can always get free off the internet. The only problem is, they're not too accurate most of the itme, and guitar tabs specifically seem to be especially lazily.

I actually prefer to tab things myself, nowadays.

EDIT: If you're trying to play that canon thing, I could tab it for you. But it would take like, a year, since I don't play guitar...

No, I don't want to play anything like that, yet.
I'm just getting sick of tabs, there always inaccurate, they are harder for me to play, and I'm just generally starting to hate them, I'm more efficient with notes. (It was the way I was taught, I was taught tabs, but notes are wwwaaaaaaay easier...)

BTW, Hazar, on that site, I downloaded a file and it's a .gp3 file, what do I do with it? It was supposedly a tab/sheet music file, I opened it with notepad, but it's just code inside...

Nvm, I've obtained Guitar Pro 4 + 22,699 songs (I know thats a hell of alot, it takes 2 minutes just for the folder to load with all the GP3 files in it!), you think of any song, and I probably have it, I've got classical tabs, country tabs, rock tabs, and hell, even some rap tabs!!

Thanks for your help Hazar! (The link to that site)

You should note that the tabs on MySongBook are not always 100% accurate, though they're usually pretty good. There is also a Guitar Pro 5 out now, which features their "Realistic Sound Engine" which can make the audio playback sound much more natural for tabs that are properly mixed for it (you can also use the same MIDI as with older versions). They have a selection of the best GP5 tabs right on the main page.

very true

the RSE sounds much better than the old stuff, but on some tabs it makes the music out of sync with the individual tracks in the song. It all depends on the tabber really.

What frustrates me the most is that quite a few tabs arn't complete, they leave out the vocal part. I think that that would be one of the easiest things to tab and yet most people leave it out.
