Ok, I was on Google earth checking locations and people from HL2 etc and came across this...(inspired by the City 17 is real thread)

Freeman Rd. Calhoun, now I dunno about you but I dont believe this as coincidence and might just be where Valve got the original ideas for the names of HL's characters, maybe we will find Kleiner Terrace, Vance...

Gordon's named was an amalgation of Freeman Dyson and someone else as far as I know. Very nice find though.

IIRC from RtB, they thought about calling him Freeman Dyson, but then Gabe said "Why not call him Gordon Freeman", and that was that. This apparently took place while driving on the way to an asian food restaurant.

yea, I'm sure valve just laughs at some of the crap we come up with to explain stuff in the HL2 world.
