Freespace 2: Free Download?

I believe sometime ago, volition made Freespace 2 free for download. This is just a simple question as to where to download this free source?

Or is it just the source code which is free?

Its pretty confusing getting all the files you need, i remember that i took me a couple of weeks, and some missions didnt even work
