after trying everything..see this post
OK guys i think i sorted this out..
the game works..the last change i made was updating my BIOS
( i have an Asus M.board)..after that..all went smooth..so far at least
im still using old video drivers (61.77) for my nvidia card (fx 5700LE) because somewhere i read that might have been the cause..ill try updating to newer ones to see if the problem was really the bios update
one more thing, the game has worked when being launched with the" - w 800 -h 600 -refresh 85 -developer1" string added to the steam.exe link..ill try removing that and see if it works the same
its unacceptable users must be able to update ther bios to play a GAME..but im sure you guys can do it and hope it will work
