Well, some of you (all 11 of you that posted or whatever) might remember a threa di had awhile back about my friends band... they recently had a live acoustic concert, and they got some decent recordings from them.

Outshown (save as)
High Stakes (save as)

Just a few things to keep in mind....this is an acoustic show...so no bass or drums (the venue on had an electric set) They also hadn't really played in about 5 months.... jsut two of them and thier guitars.

Cool :)

come on peeps.... mor ehave you know how to play a .mp3...

Checked out High Stakes, pretty cool, but I don't go for the acoustic thing. Still, pretty cool as far as that goes :)

Yeah, I didn't mind that. What is their usual style, and do you have any other non-acoustic recordings (for comparison)?

I do a non acoustic recording... but it's from 2 years ago... and the singer's voice has chnaged greatly since then...i'lldig it up when i have time.

High Stakes... Pretty nice song, would you please find out what chords he uses?

instruments out of tune, needs to control his voice too, but nice song :)
persuade em to get High Stakes produced properly, would be sweet

High stakes is cool, just tell your friend to not sing at it would be perfect... no offense...

Nice, drummings pretty regular but he has really nice timing and a couple of fills made me twitch with glee.

Cool stuff, but TBH they're going a little far with the whole "don't compare us to other bands" thing. Especially since, well, that's what every band says :D

Oh yeah, their site is AWESOME. Best design for a band site I've seen in ages.

Thr first band have been listening to too much New Found Glory....way too much like 99% of the guitar-based music they show on TRL for me. Or, for that matter, MTV in general. To be perfectly honest, it makes me want to cringe at some points, it just doesn't seem very honest. I hate to sound snobbish, but that's how I feel...

Now, Anberlin have some great talent. The music is just huge, especially in Glass To The Arson (which is a brilliant song by the way, and certainly the best of the two). And the riffage in Ready Fuels is brilliant. 2 thumbs up!  In fact, I think I might add their songs to my playlist. :D

I like Anberlins music, but I don't think his voice are quite fit for that genre of music...
How are those chords to High Stakes coming?

Heh, I quite like his voice. It doesn't really sound like any one else, which what makes the music seem more unique in my opinion. :)

Agreed, unique it is. Just don't think it fits the style :-P...

I think that the music is very good, the vocals could use some work, Its not his voice, it fits well enough, jsut how and the tempo he sings it makes it a little akward, but overall very good. Both songs show potential.
