Friends list problem?

After much grief me & a mate managed to get each other on friends list . But now for some reason we can't even see each other as online? Any suggestions?

for what I know.. steam friendslist has been screwed up ever since they had it .. and if you manage to get on it.. then most of my friends can't see me :sniper:

Friends is really buggy at the moment. It's quite low on their priorities I think. Best to get xfire until they sort it out.
