I'm looking for a program that will allow me to put files from a folder on my computer to a dvd and have be playable on a dvd player. (not a dvd ripper)
Make sure the video files are in the correct format (MPEG2).* If you just want MPEG2 files to be put on a DVD to view then a free program should work fine. I personally use TMPGEnc's Author program, thats the 30 day trial link. Clip the video files, make motion menus and stuff like that. If you have Nero or Roxio burning software they do it also (I have had good experience with Nero).
*If you do not have them in MPEG2 format (maybe a kind of AVI file) then you will need to encode the file to MPEG2. Some programs that make DVDs (like Nero/Roxio) can encode the video in the proccess of making the disc.
