This Game really looks great.

Gamespot just did hands-om review, and it seems; to be the next-gen shooter. Multiple mission choices and etc.

It'll come on PS3, 360 and PC, sometime next year.

Check out the SS, share your thoughts.

Sounds interesting. Was there another game like this out? Sounds familiar, but I can't put a finger on it :|

Demo up on live.

Sweet, cheers for the heads up. Had no idea this was coming out today. Downloading now, although 1.60gb is going to take ages on my connection.

I was just going to say that I thought I saw a headline like that over at gametab. However, I am not sure I care enough about this game to clutter my HDD with it. I will likely see what all of you think and then decide whether to dl it.

I didnt download the demo ... just checked the comments on the demo on majornelson.com and they are all negative. Coupled with the fact I don't like these sorts of games, I think i'll give this one a miss.

Hmmmm Im curious about this game I was invited for the beta but couldn't play because the game is only compatible with x1*** cards or higher. Since I have a x800 Im screwed although I will dl the demo for my sexbox. Also I heard alot of negative things from people in the beta. Anyone have any personal experience playing this game??

Sir, Where can I find this "Demo" you speak of?

And for us PCfags?

Yes, there will be a version for us PCFags, upon release.

Got an open beta invite for anyone who wants. Pm.

Me! Me! Me! Me! Damn U! I'll PM you. Thanks.

BF2 was shitty.

And what about a demo for us PC peoples? :(

In that case; it'll definitely going to pwn BF2. :P

I did like Gamespot hands-on report, and I liked the way they closed the article.

Every time we see a new build of this game, it has come along by leaps and bounds. Frontlines is a great example of a next-generation console and PC hardware workout--blades of grass sway in the breeze, explosions look great, and vehicles, with their smoke trails and heat exhaust fumes, all look spot-on.

Frontlines: Fuel of War is showing huge potential in its visuals and gameplay as well as its fun. With a few months to go before the game hits shelves, the final polishing is really starting to show off how good the underlying concept and technology behind the game are. Check GameSpot early in 2008 for a full review.

It sounded like a romantic scene from your favorite chick-flick.

Sorry guys, forgot to edit post yesterday. Key went to someone already.

So I was playing the MP beta and here are my thoughs...

The idea is solid and fairly well implemented.

Maps are fairly blah. Oil Fields is a big map where you shoot people basically from like 500m away. It's ridiculous.

Vehicles are alright. One thing that sucks with them is the controls just don't feel right. Hopefully they keep tweaking those.

The two biggest flaws right now are in balance adn technical glitches. Anytime you play, you really feel like you are fighting against the game in all aspects. You run up with a drone, explode the guy but he doesn't get hurt because he's prone behind a three inch tall sidewalk thing and doesn't die even though that huge concrete statue right next to him explodes!

You snipe someone in the back from the side and nothing happens. Then he turns around and you're dead.

All guns feel so spazztastic and aren't balanced properly.

Honestly, they just need to polish this thing to death and it could be just as great as Battlefield. Right now it's lacking, and frustrating in the core aspects. Not sure how they can get it done for Janurary, so more than likely it's going to get released to fairly mediocre reviews, where it could have been so much better.

I apologize. Gamespot does suck though.

I was just playing big guy about the "Rude" thing.

Why do you hate Gamespot, because; of allergy reasons, or you like to backup your hatred?

I agree. According to what you have reported; the game needs some serious polishing.

Hopefully, they'll push back the release date; if they're not done by then, Otherwise, we're dealing with DOA.

Great review.
