im no expert in computers so im just gonna ask, wot does frontside bus actually do?
 
What doesnt it do? :)
Sets the pace of the computer. Your megahertz is FSB*Multiplier. The higher the FSB, the higher the clock.
 
the FSB also determines how quickly the processor can send information to other parts of the mobo i.e the northbridge and teh southbridge...

so its another factor to take into account as well as processor speed you also want a ncie high fsb :)

Compare it to a city ;)
FSB is the highway that bridges the gap between the City (CPU) and other suburbs near by towns (devices on the motherboard).
Hypertransport is more of an interstate though.
