Full Spectrum Warrior Demo

:naughty: Downloading now, can't wait to play it!

I got an e-mail from Fileplanet about this. Checked their site. Didn't see it. Forgot about it until now. The End.

need mirrors bad, i've got an 83 min. wait on fileplanet.... major suck

It's fun, the bloom is a bit ott but you can turn it off easily enough. Not got time to play it fully, got to go to sleep now!

 Man I found this demo awesome! Definately getting this game, the graphics isn't the best... but the game is all about gameplay. There's some flaws I noticed though; like in firefights... you could exchange fire back and forth with a tango all day, not killing nor dying, you could only take em down by flanking them. I like flanking though, but when you can't rely on sureshot when the dude ISN'T EVEN taking cover, come on now. It's still a great game. Umm okay only one flaw, hehe. I really do like how you use teamwork in this game as well, one team as distraction and the other takes the enemy out from behind= grand stuff  . I really enjoy the soldiers comments during in game as well, pretty funny. I am definately going to buy the game when available.

have had the xbox version for a while and absolutely love it... gonna DL the demo just to see the changes

thanks for the heads up

Use www.filerush.com. The torrent download has 22 seeds and 6 clients, got speeds of 150kb/s+, which is really high for me, at least for a torrent download.

Why does it seem like I'm the only one who knows about this site?

i can't seem to get the installer to run... it freezes about 1/3 the way through of "Configuring Windows Installer" :(

 It didn't freeze man... it just takes long. Same thing happened to me, I WAS going to close the app, but since i've patience since last few days, it payed off.

Seems ok, some problems with controls with the mouse slowing down and the overly blurry nature of the post processing effect. Tatically it's a bit shallow also, with one team out flanking the enemy or similar. This type of game doesn't really interest me but it feels like a good game overall.

It was a lot better than I was expecting it to be. In all of the previews I saw, all of the motion looked very clunky, controls looked iffy, and gameplay looked a little boring, but I was pleasantly surprised by the demo (although, going through those 5 MOUT missions wasn't too fun :P)

Very nice demo. I hope the tactical part of Brothers in Arms will play like this.

Played it for Xbox and liked it.

I think they could have updated the models a little bit other than just adding a bloom effect.

I liked it, it was fun, but it seems once you master the trick, there's nothing to it anymore, the same drill over and over.

You move from corner to corner with your team, and when a tango is spotted you let one team set up a fire zone/suppressive fire and manoeuvre the other team so they can engage the enemy from a different location from behind cover.
And if there's no alternate angle of approach you throw a frag/shoot M203.

I also think it's a bit dumb that an objects cover properties are only determined by material and when you're behind a dumpster it magically protects you from bullets eventhough your head is constantly above it. Behind solid cover/a corner you're invincible.

But of course, this was just one mission, and could be different in the other chapters.

It's like that for the whooooole game, trust me.

Corners provide magical bullet cover and will never allow you to get shot, same with dumpsters! Hurrah!

Hoo-Hah!

:naughty: Hoo-Rah @ Super tough American troups!

and the stupid thing is while they are behind cover at a corner while they cant be shot........ they clearly stick their head out :imu: they arent covered at all lol.

so stupid if its all about cover they could atleast made it look like they really are behind cover :rolling:

Hoo-rah !

Everything was awsome exept that corner cover thingy and the weapon sounds ! the sounded like freaking Soft Air Guns ! :P

maybe its just me but i didnt like it at all. Its not my type of game, commanding a squad of 4 while just moving the guys around and then telling them where to shoot...and let them do it annoyed me.

Moo-Lah!

Isn't the bloom effect what made DX:IW run arse on PC?

Actually, if you disabled Bloom, it ran even worse. It's just a really, really, really buggy and unoptimised game.

I agree, DX2 ran bad no matter what, but in Full Spectrum Warriors the bloom is so bad I would turn it off even if the game ran better with it.
